May 9 & 10, 2009

The sixth annual Mississauga Marathon presented by Canon is only 200 days away. Don’t lose all of that hard earned fall fitness. Register now and keep that training honest! Consider doing the Road2Hope in Hamilton on Nov 2nd or the Around the Bay Road Race on March 29/09 as a race or training run to get ready. Over 50% of marathoners in Mississauga use ‘The Bay Race’ as their final prep race as it occurs six weeks prior to the Mississauga Marathon. Don’t be left out, it SOLD OUT in 2008.

Grand & Toy Corporate/Team Relay

Don’t let the name fool you. Everyone is invited to submit a relay team of up to five members. If you and a group of friends or corporate work mates aren’t ready to take on the whole 42.2 kms, take on a fifth of it and get in on the excitement of the day. For more information on the event, including shuttle buses and relay exchange points, visit our website, www.mississaugamarathon.com

Expo Appearances

A number of runners have already won FREE entries into the 2009 Mississauga Marathon by entering the race at the Scotiabank Waterfront and Toronto Marathon. Fill out an entry at our booth during the Niagara Falls International Marathon (Oct 24-26/08) and Around the Bay Road Race (March 27-29/09) expos for your chance to win a free entry.

New for 2009

Do you pride yourself on your observational skills? Have you noticed that the Mississauga Marathon logo has changed? The logo has been modified to reflect a clearer font while maintaining the logo’s familiar look.

The slide show available on the website home page takes runners down the course on the Saturday and Sunday events. Have a look and see if you are a part of the action or perhaps one of the shots will evoke a vivid race memory for you. Check it out!
